Lucinda Shank Heinemeyer born September 9 1843 died March 8 1915 after heart trouble and complications. She married Charles Heinemeyer in Somerset County Pennsylvania in 1862 and had nine children, with 23 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. The family moved to Polk County Nebraska in 1880 living in Valley and Platts precincts. Funeral services were held March 14 at 2 pm conducted by Rev E M Reed, with burial in Osceola after with her obituary noting a life of Christian service and the nickname Grandma Heinemeyer.
The Polk County Teachers Association holds a meeting at Osceola High School Saturday March 13 with forenoon 10 30 and afternoon 1 30 sessions. Supt Free Hunter of Lincoln Schools will seal the program with practical, engaging guidance. Amelia Rasmussen Supt. invites teachers patrons and officers to attend for inspiration.
Emil Flodman of Mead and Albert Flodman of Omaha brothers of Mrs. John G. Swan son attend the funeral of Mr. Swanson. W H Clark returns Friday from Connorsville Indiana and says his sister who has been very ill has made no motion.
John Gustaf Swanson, born November 28 1867 in Askeryd Smaland Sweden, came to America in 1869, settled in Polk County Nebraska in 1872. He married Hulda Dorothea Johnson in 1908 and had four children Marie Louise Carl Albin Fred William Helen Levoa. He joined the Lutheran Church in 1908 and died March 3 1915 after years of illness. Funeral held at 2 p.m. yesterday at the Lutheran church in Osceola conducted by Rev Nelson assisted by Rev O L Larson, with burial at Osceola Cemetery.
