Allan Deeter, 18, son of Mr and Mrs Arthur Deeter, took boat training at the Great Lakes Training Center after enlisting December 30 1944. He is now stationed at San Bruno California. He was awarded 2000 Camels sent to a Navy relative in Texas.

New Airplane Tire Lots Offered for Civil Use
Thousands of veteran airplane tires returned from Europe, covering about half of all sizes, will be sold to tire manufacturers wholesalers and dealers through sealed bids by the Office of Surplus Property Department of Commerce. Portland Woman Visits Osceola Sister in Hospital
Mrs. Fred Olmstead of Portland arrived in Osceola in the latter part of last week to be with her sister Mrs. Augusta Mills who is still confined to the hospital after a recent stroke. Mr and Mrs Ivan Mills of Bartlettsville Oklahoma, who had stayed with his mother, left for home Friday. They expect to move Mrs Mills by ambulance to Bartlettsville on Thursday.
