Osceola Seerage Debate Pushes Special Election
At a Osceola citizens meeting held at the court house a committee was named to circulate a petition urging the mayor and city council to call a special election on the sewer bond proposal. The plan calls for about 7,000 feet of sewerage plus a $2,000 septic tank and includes blueprints for public review. The Osceola Alumni banquet honored about sixty guests with music, toasts, and a well received program. The eighth grade graduation accompanied by diplomas and violin solos followed, as Rev. Gilmore urged staying in school. Also noted are visits from Miss Hazel Colson, Mrs. A. J. Howe, Mr. and Mrs. Neligh, and Uncle William Crisp planning for a sale of 320 acres of land at $35 per acre if bought before July 1.
