Polk County Nebraska board audits claims in General and Emergency Relief funds including salaries to Carleton Anderson Tommie Anderson and many others. They approve a bid for county property value 50 dollars and publish a creditor notice for the John F Albers estate with a November 8 1963 hearing in County Court.
County Nebraska notice lists William H Harrison deceased with petitions for administrator W W Norton set for August 21 1963 at 2 PM in Osceola and for probate of the will with Hazel McFadden named executrix scheduled August 22 1963 at 10 AM in the County Court Room Osceola positions. Delmar W McFadden deceased.
Members of the 4-H Homemaking and Working Gals clubs participated in a Song Contest and Tress Revue at the Lutheran Church on Wednesday. The Homemaking Club won a purple ribbon and the Working Gals earned a blue. Dick and Douglas Dunn and Ag Men's Fraternity members joined a Sherman Lake gathering near Loup City on Sunday. Ronnie Lux returned home after five days at Camp Halsey for a Conservation Award and attended the camp dedication. Thursday featured Tractor Power and Safety Day at Mead with Dick Urban, Dale Dunn, Danny, Robert Wieseman, Eddie, and Evan. Jerry Urban visited grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Earl Hrdle at Silver Creek. Mr. and Mrs. Gregg Andreason and family visited the Dale Dunn home, and the Dunns hosted Sunday dinner for Mrs. Fred Hienggeler and Frank Jaax in Columbus.
The Board of Educational Lands and Funds of Nebraska will offer educational lands in Polk County for lease at a public auction in Osceola on August 20, 1963 at 1 30 P M CST. Bidding requires certified funds or cash with the County Treasurer prior to sale and qualification as provided by law. The sale may be adjourned and final approval rests with the Board which may reject any bids. Elmer H. Mahlin secretary.
