First Wheat Arrives In Osceola With Disappointing Yields
The first of the new wheat crop was marketed in Osceola on Monday. Fred Huggler and Horace McKeag harvested fields yielding 15 and 12 bushels per acre, testing 57 and 55 pounds per bushel with moisture of 13.5 and 13.0. Market price was $2.15 per bushel, and traders expect less critical car supplies due to a lighter belt crop.
