Retired Polk County Farmer Dies in Car-Truck Crash
Elmer C. Rasp 77 of Gresham died Friday in a motor car-truck collision two miles west of Gresham. He was tossed from his 1950 Nash as Lyle A. Anderson 28 of Seward drove a 1947 Ford semi-trailer through the open intersection. Anderson was not injured. Rasp, born June 19 1884 in Folk County, lived on a farm north of Gresham. He is survived by his wife Emma Lux two daughters Gladys Linton Iris Dey and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Kepner Funeral Home Osceola with burial at Blue Ridge Cemetery.

About seventy five attendees gathered for a weekend Miley family reunion at the Earl T Miley home in Hoxie Kansas. Attendees included sons and daughters and numerous grandchildren and in laws from Florida Vermont Chanute Ottawa Limon Quin ter Osceola and St Louis with Rev Ray Miley absent due to illness. One son and one daughter are deceased and twenty nine of thirty five grandchildren attended. Lee Roy and Leslie Miley returned home with their parents after a two week visit with the Rodgers and Miley families.
