Valley School Teacher Honored at 50th District No 5 Reunion
About 50 people gathered at Valley Church basement north of Osceola on June 26 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of District No. 5’s present schoolhouse. Nellie Benson, the first teacher in 1905, led 21 former pupils at the event with memories of wagon trips, then a fishing excursion, and a curry of school history read by Nina Delamore.

Dr W A Danielson Dies in Chicago
Dr Wilford A Danielson born near Osceola February 20 1890 to Gust and Ellen Danielson, died June 29 in Chicago. He studied at Osceola High School, University of Nebraska, Rush Medical College, practiced medicine in Chicago and served as dean of the Chicago College of Chiropody and Surgery. Survived by wife a brother Gordon R of Kearney a nephew Gordon R Jr of Omaha and uncle Andrew Nelson of Osceola plus Osceola cousins. Funeral July 2 at Kepner Mortuary with Osceola cemetery burial.

Local Grain Co Builds Another Large Grain Storage Bin
