County Treasurer John Lees gains control of Joseph Tschauner properties on the Ridge and in Shelby. Tschauner also conveys Osceola city land near the Peterson elevator and land north of the Johnson Bros Osceola works, with Art of Steamaburg taking possession two and three quarter miles west. Tschauner pays the valuation difference and possession is to pass to the buyers this spring.
Mr and Mrs Richard Lundgren celebrated their twenty fifth wedding anniversary northwest of Swede Home with 85 guests on January 12 though postponed due to Mrs Lundgren illness. They were married January 12 1899 at Swede Home by Rev Jonas Nordling and have six daughters. The couple received a silver coffee urn and a set of silver knives forks and spoons, and neighbors join the Record in extending congratulations.
More than fifty youths enjoyed a Tuesday Epworth League social. The worship themes for Sunday include The Supreme Motive and Open Doors. Evangelist Raymond Rush will assist during part of the revival meetings starting next Sunday.

The Polk County Farmers Institute was held at the Stromsburg Opera House with sessions on January 29 and 30. Exhibits filled the old Elite Building beside the Opera House. afternoon and evening programs featured music, solos by Nathan Wilson Etna Eakin Ralph Heald Mabel Ekeley Violet Falk and more, plus demonstrations on stock care, concrete use at Lincoln, sewing and dressmaking, dairying and farming economics.
