Local church week of prayer and city power outage

The week of prayer at the Presbyterian church drew strong attendance. A fuse burned out at the power house left the city in darkness for a couple of hours. J H Mickey added a new well and steel tower in the south ward. The M E church was wired with 16 incandescent lights in the dome. Roe Stewart residence was burglarized while the family attended church in Osceola, with a small amount of money and jewelry stolen.
