The Pols county fair association held its annual meeting at the courthouse to plan a bustling fair season and rebuild a key building by September. Officials were elected and a state circuit joining delegate was chosen, with a September meet likely in the first three weeks. Separately at the parents' home, Rev W J Scott officiated the January 6 wedding of Mr QO F Hotchkiss and Vaiss Lithan, the ceremony attended by close relatives and a small circle of friends.

Funeral services for Mrs Quilien in Osceola area
Departed tascite from four miles south of Osceola on Tuesday January Sth 10t funeral held at 1030 at home with Rev Knox Boude of the Prebytery church delivering the sermon. Deceased with Higland county ties moved with parents to Newton and later to Furnas County where seven children and five times attended church. Mrs Quilien joined the Christian church at sixteen and remained a member. Large crowd followed to Osceola cemetery.
