New corn sorghum set aside option in 1972 farm programs
Sign up for the 1972 voluntary feed grain programs opened February 3 with a new set aside option for corn and grain sorghum producers. The option offers 80 cents per bushel for corn and 76 cents per bushel for sorghum with a possible 10 to 15 percent set aside and requires acreage reductions. Other set aside options remain available and all farmers should understand choices before signing up.
