Tuberculosis Reactor Rate Seen Low Across 1433 Herds
Of 1433 herds testing 17373 cattle only 249 reactors were removed. The 1.4 percent rate should drop as two badly infected herds are slaughtered. Generalized cases among reactors were high, indicating very bad tuberculosis in the cattle. Retesting will begin in about a month to gauge progress toward county accreditation.

Brigham Rites Held After Shelby Resident Dies
Wilbur J. Brigham of Shelby Neb died February 12 1924 at his home after a life spanning Iowa Nebraska and Wisconsin origins. He left a wife Sarah Maretta Burritt and four sons Delbert Ray Lynn and Corral with Corral deceased. Surviving brothers George Fred and Frank with five grandchildren.
