An advertisement claims the liniment has a positive guarantee to meet all label calls and notes its strong curative powers for rheumatism and neuralgia. it says B. H. Kunkel keeps it.
Osceola locals host visitors from Lincoln and nearby towns during holidays. Prof M R Smodgrass and family visit from Pender en route to the State Teachers Association in Lincoln. Wilbur Donaldson and Cora Matheny of Shelby plan matrimony after credentials issued. Hood's Sarsaparilla calendar promotion offers a coupon book and lithographs.
In 1895 only three of 4,650,000 boxes of Bege's German Salve were returned as unsatisfactory. Each box carried a positive guarantee. The sales were handled by D. BH. Kunkel.

Norris Mickey won the Polk County championship gold medal with an 8 of 13 score, while C E Brown captured the Lawther Medal after a contest with Swipes. Polk county reports grand Christmas programs by German M E Sunday schools. Platte Valley church held Christmas Eve services with an 80 decorated tree and many presents. Rev A J Ross preached from Christ the great Light of the World. Osceola hosted its first 25th exercises at 7 pm. over 300 attended. Bebble led the program. a choir provided music.
Horace Ward and Miss Mary Stewart were married last Sunday at 6 30 p.m. in the bride’s home on J R Stewart's with only close relatives present. Both have long ties to Osceola. Ward is the town barber and Stewart has served as deputy postmistress. The Record extends best wishes for their happiness.
