Polk county reports grand Christmas programs by German M E Sunday schools. Platte Valley church held Christmas Eve services with an 80 decorated tree and many presents. Rev A J Ross preached from Christ the great Light of the World. Osceola hosted its first 25th exercises at 7 pm. over 300 attended. Bebble led the program. a choir provided music.

Horace Ward and Miss Mary Stewart were married last Sunday at 6 30 p.m. in the bride’s home on J R Stewart's with only close relatives present. Both have long ties to Osceola. Ward is the town barber and Stewart has served as deputy postmistress. The Record extends best wishes for their happiness.
