They also adopt a resolution to discontinue the County Superintendent of Schools post effective January 1975 and authorize investment of county funds with Horace Stevens approved for supplies and related operating costs.
County Board Advances Water Line Across Road and Bids Sought
Polk County will advertise for sealed bids for culverts to be used in 1974 with bids due by 11:00 A.M. January 22, 1974. A resolution allows reinvestment of Federal Revenue Sharing Funds in Certificates of Deposit. The Board approved a postage meter contract for the Courthouse and adjourned at 3:30 P.M. Next meeting December 26, 1973. News of servicemen notes a local family visit and a promotion to Staff Sergeant for Thomas W. Schmoker.
