Osceola To Dedicate New High School Building

The Osceola School Board plans a two session dedication on Friday January 3 1918 with an afternoon and evening program. An orchestra will provide music and educators of the state will speak with other numbers on the program. A banquet follows the evening program and all residents of Osceola School District 19 and county are invited. School opens Monday January 6 with heating ventilation and other details ready for inspection.

Death in railroad accident for Chas VanHoosen at Brugh Colo

Little child burned by scalding near town

A baby, about a year and a half, of Mr and Mrs Phillip Senter near town, fell into a bucket of hot water Thursday evening. The arms and breast were badly burned but doctors expect recovery. Clothing peeled away with the skin in places. In other news, Christmas celebrations were held by the High School classes with gatherings at several homes and a general campus cheer. Dr. F H Oberg, deputy state livestock inspector, submitted a district report to the veterinary board on tuberculosis in the county and milk from tubercular cattle, noting no active human cases and past deaths.
