Wind mill repair injury risks fingers at mill tower
Wellington Burley suffered a severe hand injury while repairing a wind mill for W. D. Logan. A high wind caused the wheel to turn, catching his right hand and mangling flesh and bone. doctors fear amputation but hope some fingers may be saved. Burley is a hard working man and the incident is greatly regretted.

Tragic Death Found Near Stromsburg Barrow
The body of Peter Hedman was found Monday afternoon on a rubbish heap south of the Stromsburg track. He had been hauling rubbish when his wagon turned over and either struck or smothered him. He leaves a wife and several grown children. No inquest was held.
