James I Drawbaugh born November 7 1869 near Iowa City died August 18 in David City hospital after three months illness of blood poisoning. He lived in Rising City and Columbus and was a traveling salesman for 14 years. Survived by wife Lydia and children Effie and Earl, mother Sarah Drawbaugh, one sister Mrs H W Nantkes and four brothers. Funeral at Rising City Lutheran Church burial Circle Mound Cemetery.

Auto collision near York injures three and sends them to hospital
Two autos collided one mile north of York on Saturday evening. Edward Beckord drove west bound with his mother Mrs Henry Beckord and his brother Donald. The east bound car carried Mr Jones and Albert Hahn. Hahn was thrown through the windshield with serious cuts. Mrs Beckord fractured a wrist and Donald was badly bruised. All three—Edward, Mrs Beckord and Donald—were admitted to Lutheran hospital at York.
