A Friday Farmers Union picnic at the fair grounds drew an immense crowd with morning talks by C. H. Gustafson state president and county president Frank A. Swanson. G. L. Carlson of Rural Review spoke on rural credits and the need for organization. The event featured a farmers band and quartette, a lively baseball game, and a night show at the auditorium.

Mrs C S McCormick and daughter May Heapy from Litchfield will visit Shelby then return for the county fair.
