The Osceola district reports a straight grade flour at the Osceola Roller Mill for $1.50 per hundred. A round of social activity, visits, illness, travel, and local figures include J. Farris recovering from typhoid, M. A. McKeever in Stromsburg, Eva McCune in Stromsburg, and various other residents and visitors from nearby towns.
A Bryan club visit to Stromsburg last Saturday evening featured a torch parade and music with J L Makeever addressing Polk county voters on finance issue. The event drew mixed reactions with some hostility and little enthusiasm as observers noted disorder and decorative banners, while references to a Madison Square speech framed the political debate.
