Obituary: W Henry Sheppard of Rising City
Wm Henry Sheppard born Sept 7 1850 in Kossuth Iowa moved to Nebraska 1872 settling Polk County then Rising City 1886 until death. He married Harriet Ware in 1874 and had eight children, three died young. Funeral Aug 15 in Rising City with Masonic rites at Gresham cemetery.

Osceola Shoemaker C N Jackson Dies at Home
The Osceola community mourns C N Jackson a Swedish born shoemaker who died of heart failure at his home Tuesday after being found semi conscious at his office. He was 64 born October 24 1856 in Sweden married Clara Laws in Ashland Nebraska and moved to Osceola a few years ago with no children his brother now runs the business. Funeral held at his home today with interment in Osceola cemetery.

Death of John Graham Near Stromsburg
John Graham died at the home of Wm. Page east of Stromsburg at 2 a m Saturday. His death, attributed to cerebral spinal meningitis by local physicians, came after a short illness. He was forty years old and brother of Nahb Graham of East Stromsburg, and his death caused much gloom in the community. The remains were sent to Iowa the same day for interment.
