The President and Cabinet pledge to extend full rights to all Uncle Sam's people in and around Caceela. They announce a policy of delaying peace until rights are secured and boast of defeating the enemy High Price, claiming victory as the flag of Lowest Prices rises over headquarters.
Advertises a closing out sale on new spring and summer merchandise. Claims fresh stylish stock and no carryover items, urging buyers to shop now before fall goods arrive as prices and cash value are disregarded in this total house clearance.
An advertising notice lists suirt waists ladies ties summer dress and hats as goods sold positively as advertised. It promises under-buy under-sell guarantees and urges readers to join a long list of pleased customers while stressing timely action.
Osceola items note a Grand Harvest Dance to be held at the Shelby opera house on Friday August 12 with supper at the hotel. The event is managed by the Metheney Brothers and invites all to attend.
The World Herald reports Osceola's post office will become a third class office with the postmaster salary set at 1200 dollars annually.
