Warden Sigler Holds Firm Over Prison Revolt at Nebraska Penal Complex
In Lincoln a revolt by about 165 inmates at the Nebraska Penal Complex ended after warden Maurice Sigler refused to yield on yard access and work. He declared no work means no food and the prisoners eventually signed to back down after four meals were skipped. Five inmates were placed in solitary confinement for stubborn resistance.
