Carlson to Represent Polk County in 4-H Public Speaking
Roger Carlson son of Mr and Mrs Rupert Carlson of Osceola will represent Polk County at the District 4-H Public Speaking Contest in Fremont Nebraska on May 6. He was selected at the April 6 Osceola courthouse contest where his speech titled 4 10 and Safe focused on farm safety earning a purple ribbon. The Fremont winner advances to the State 4-H Public Speaking Contest in Lincoln. Births include Gregory Ailen Cole born April 15 in Lexington weighing 6 lb 2 oz and Stankoski son born April 17 in Silver Creek weighing 7 lb 15 oz to Mr and Mrs Edwin Stankoski.
