Former Minneapolis Symphony harpist to perform for youth

Henry Williams, formerly with the Minneapolis Symphony, will present a harp recital for youths at Osceola Auditorium on Wednesday April 21. The University of Kansas Department of Lectures and Concert Artists sponsors the event. Williams has soloed with many American orchestras and once performed with the London Symphony Orchestra in his early years.

Osceola high school defeats Stromsburg 6 to 5 on the home diamond. Stromsburg led 5 0 after two innings before Osceola rallied with four runs in the third and two in the fourth. Jerome Gabriel pitched five innings, allowing five hits as both teams faced wildness from the mound. Kreis and Carlson doubled the extra base hits for Stromsburg with triples.
