A special one day teachers examination will be held at Guy Court House on Saturday July 7. A party of eighteen friends and neighbors gathered at Andrew Andersons residence last Tuesday afternoon to present a birthday surprise to Miss Lillie Sawyer housekeeper for Mr Anderson. The event ran from 3 to 6 with coffee cake and fruits served and many fine presents given in appreciation. Mrs D H Kunkel coordinated the program and guests expressed a very enjoyable afternoon.
