The first week of September State Fair races close May 1 for 2 year old and 3 year old trot and pace events with purses up to 8500 and entry fees 3 percent. Classes close August 10 for mid range purses of 3500 with five percent entry, plus the Nebraska Derby for 8500 closes August 10 with a 15 dollar Derby fee. stalls are free to starters and money in the outside money is returned. Also a health ad promotes Dr Shoop's Cough Cure with emphasis on safety and no poison marks on labels, sold by G T Ray & Co.
Osceola Nebraska April 2 1907 county commissioners discuss Stromsburg road grades and bridge contracts. Nebraska Construction Co bid rejected as few bridges needed this year. April 3 session allocates funds to Poor Fund and county officers notes sheriff reports and disallowed claims. April 5 reviews district court costs poor farm care and road district warrants with road improvements planned Stromsburg Durand and Polk.
