Sunday baseball and movies defeated in Osceola election
Osceola voters rejected Sunday baseball and Sunday movies measures at the election. North ward favored baseball by 11 votes and defeated movies by 16. South ward beat both measures two to one. Phil Campbell won north ward council seat 107 votes to 47 for Jim Farris. Mind Sterup won south ward unopposed. W. O. Hansen and Dr. LeMar were re elected to the Board of Education. Overall turnout was small.

Odd Fellows Inducts Six Members in Shelby Event
Mr. Moriah Encampment of the Odd Fellows held a special meeting Tuesday evening and inducted six new members from Shelby. Refreshments followed at Densmore's Coffee Shop.
