Curvply Builds New Orono Factory Expansion
Curvply Wood Products Limited plans a new 30 by 120 foot building west of the current factory in Orono creating about 4000 extra square feet. The expansion will store veneer stock and support veneer moulding operations, with a wall joining the old and new structures. The firm also seeks space for producing water scooters and may extend into plastics, with footings poured and walls to start soon.

Two men from Oshawa and Bowmanville were fined after a Bowmanville court found hunting regulation violations in Ontario. Emma Jane Winter dies at 84 in Orono tribute of service
Emma Jane Winter of Orono died at her daughter’s home on August 21 in her 85th year. She leaves five daughters and four sons, with two sons predeceasing her, and was active in Orono United Church and local women’s groups.
