Eleventh Award Won By A Muir At Local Holstein Show
A. Muir and Sons of Courtice won the Premier Breeder title for the eleventh consecutive year at the Durham County Black and White Day show in connection with Grono Fair end September 12. James T. Brown, Newcastle, was a close contender for Premier Breeder and Premier Exhibitor honors. The event drew 98 cows shown by 44 exhibitors, with quality high in the female classes.

A special trophy for best purebred Holstein calf was exhibited by a youth. A. Muir and Sons captured multiple group class titles including Senior Get-of-Sire on Get-of-Progressor Kenevelyn Barry and Junior Get-of-Sire on Get of Elderslie Triune Sir Heilo. James T. Brown won Progeny of Daim.
Evening Auxiliary Meeting at United Church
The regular meeting of the Evening Auxiliary of the WMS was held in the Sunday School Auditorium Thursday evening. Olive Millson chaired in Hileen Billings absence. Stella Carson led devotion on Christian Stewardship and Peace and Kathleen Chapman sang a solo.
