About seventy five residents including many teachers attended demonstrations of songs games folk dances and square dancing with the Orono Guide Company as a demonstration group. Clarke Township Teens Hold First Social Evening
Clarke Township teens held their first social evening at Orono Town Hall with about sixty youths attending. Teen-age Reeve Orville Chatterton gained approval for a future election as the township forms North South East and West wards with Joyce Tennant Helen Wood Betty-Ann Bourne and Mont Richardson named as councillors. Membership runs thirteen to twenty. plans include a December fourteenth pre Christmas meeting and a council session on December third.
