The November Wo men’s Institute meeting in Orono chaired by Mrs. E Hamm approved a one day conference on Developing Community Enterprise to be held December 11 from 10 am to 4 pm with speaker Mrs Clarence Hays of Georgetown. Noon lunch provided by the Orono Branch. Afternoon speaker Mrs O W Rolph summarized the Area Convention in Toronto with busi ness highlights and remarks on personalities met.

Mrs Rolph gave a talk that was enjoyed by all and a hearty vote of thanks was offered. The motion was moved by Mrs W W Sher win and seconded by Mrs J Dickson, with unanimous approval. After lunch the meeting closed with the National Anthem.

Durham Judges Team Runners Up At Winter Fair
South Simcoe County won the Jef frey Bull Memorial Trophy at the Royal Winter Fair, with 34 teams. The South Simcoe team scored 540 and was coached by F. A. Lashley, while Durham County finished second with 537 and coach E. A. Summers. Team members included Lloyd Ayre, Boyd Ayre, and Allan White.
