Durham Plowing Match Draws Large Crowd at Isaac Hardy Farm
The Durham Plowing Match at Isaac Hardy's farm west of Salina drew about 1,000 spectators. Local and provincial plowmen competed, with 38 local teams in the record contestant list. Wm Allin won a boys under 21 prize and the Eckardt Silver Trophy honored high scores.

Obituary for James G Tamblyn born August 4 1862 near Orono died October 20 1938 after brief illness. Son of Charles and Richards Tamblyn pioneers from Cornwall married Elizabeth Elliott in 1893 farmed Clarke Union then built home in 1916. Elder at United Church, skilled in carpentry, survived by widow and many nephews and nieces. Interment at Orono cemetery.
