Hunters Out Number Rabbits By Large Margin
About fifty to sixty men attended the Orono Fish and Hunt Club rabbit shoot on a Wednesday afternoon. Poor rabbit numbers in the district limited bag counts, a fox was shot, and prizes were awarded at a six o'clock banquet catered by St. Saviour's Anglican Church. Bruce Hancock won heaviest rabbit at 12 pounds 2 ounces. Alf Brown took second with 10 pounds 7 ounces. W. Salter won third with 9 pounds 6 ounces.

A crowd of about 400 watched Powassan Juveniles defeat Orono Juveniles 11 to 7 in Orono Saturday. Powassan built leads through rapid attacks led by Moussard and Gaudaur while Orono fought back with multiple West goals and strong goaltending by Chmara.
