Harold Elliott 57 Former Traverse City businessman dies
Harold Hal Elliott a notable Traverse City businessman and civic leader died after an eight day illness in Cheboygan. Born in Canada he served in World War I then worked 15 years with Montgomery Ward before leading Larsen's store in Traverse City. He later served as West Michigan Tourist and Resort Association field rep and spent winters in Florida. He supported hockey development in Traverse City and was active in Masonic orders and First Congregational church. He is survived by wife Ibrena daughter Patricia and brother Milton. Funeral held Tuesday at 2:30 with Knights Templar involvement.
