Dent argues Clarke Township pays 18.1 mills total for County and District High School taxes per thousand of assessment, almost double Newcastle and Bowmanville's combined 9–9.87 mills, due to unequal County Equalized Assessment. Orono Pupils Present In Old Mexico At Town Hall
Last Friday night a full house enjoyed Meander with Margot as Orono Public School pupils staged an evening of entertainment at Town Hall. Gail Cooper led as the Princess with Everett Couvier as Pedro and Bob Knox in the singing professor role. The show featured strong younger-children performances, effective costumes by Mrs Linton, and art-class made rancho accessories.
