The Women’s Auxiliary meeting was held January 14 in the Sunday School room with Mrs H Allen presiding. Rev Mr Leng installed the 1960 officers. Reports showed a busy year with $1495.74 raised and gifts sent to the sick and bereaved. The group planned a turkey dinner for late January and the meeting ended with the W A benediction.

Durham Central Agricultural Society Plans Grandstand Extension
The Orono society held its annual meeting in the Township Hall with many members present. Secretary J C Gamey outlined finances showing a $504.83 balance and members discussed removing old stables as a fire hazard and setting September 9 and 10 for the fair.
