At the recent meeting of the Quarterly Board of Newtonville circuit of the United Church the present pastor was invited to continue for the coming conference year at an increased salary. Leskard Rejoined Orono Circuit Contention Moves Forward
The Official Board of the Orono circuit met Monday night with Rev. J. H. Osterhout presiding. A Leskard deputation asked for readmission to the Orono circuit. After discussion a committee of five was formed to work out details and report later to determine if arrangements satisfy Oshawa Presbytery action.

Garden Hill Quartet Wins Honors in Toronto Radio Debut
The Garden Hill quartet and friends were voted the most popular artists on a program in which they made their Toronto radio debut. They later sang by request and, as star performers on February 18, received a watch. Arrangements are underway for regular broadcasts from a Toronto station. The group also performed at the Gold Medal Contest staged by the W C T U in Town Hall.
