Returning from the west Jesse B. Trull of Nanton Alberta came home to the Courtice southern homestead for Christmas. Brothers Angus and Earl maintain the family presence since 1794 when the patriarch carved the land. Major Hari Trull bought Pidduck’s store and service station at Courtice. Clarke Township December Meeting Notes and Obituary Mention
Clarke Township Council met December 2 with full attendance. A resolution to send a Railway Crossings inquiry to the Municipal Engineer was approved. Other actions include gravel stockpile expansion, road work approval, and paying $55,002.59 in rates while crediting $1,987.18 to the Orane Police Trustees. The council also urged early school book audits and considered but did not approve canceling a tractor. Obituary notes Cornelius J. Hughson of Orono died December 10 at age 100.
