Guides Scouts To Sell Christmas Trees In Orono Village
The Orono Girl Guides, the C.G.LT. and the Orono Boy Scouts start a Christmas tree sale this week. Mr W B Armstrong of Orono donated one hundred trees to the three groups. Proceeds will be shared among the local organizations with a possible door to door sale planned for Saturday.

The Heather Social Club hosts an annual bazaar and tea in the L0.C.F. Hall on Saturday December 4 at 2:30 pm. The Orono Oddfellow's Hall on Church Street opened with Grand Master Newton Foster cutting the ribbon. About 145 attendees heard tributes to lodge members and the project, with presentations, a banquet, and an Oddfellow film showcasing community work and hospital aid.
