New York October 28 Former State Senator Stilwell acquitted of bribery by the Senate later convicted by a jury and now appealing to Governor Sulzer for a pardon. He allegedly offered to reveal inner workings of hogs and “m-rep regottative” in the legislature to influence votes or risk severe punishment. Sulzer said Stilwell proposed to turn informer against Tammany three days after Bal ler’s impeachment. pardon was refused until a public confession.

Goshen October 28 Special Einond Hull, arrested two weeks ago by Sheriff Sayer for theft from John J. Stage's home at New Hampton, has a troubled prison record. Authorities report Hull's past includes two years at Trenton, one year at Caldwell New Jersey, and months at King County penitentiary, with pending grand jury action.
New York and other cities report Marion Uranheors, secretary treasurer of Favary Tire and Cushion, suing Mrs. Susden Smith of Shelbyville Kentucky and Mrs. Brashears of Portland Oregon for $50,000 in U S District Court. New York report says Louis Frocks of Avenue A Baronbe New Jersey was found guilty yesterday in Jersey City of larceny of eight thousand dollars from Mrs Sarah Raha a Newark resident. He waived a jury and will appeal and give bail for sentence Thursday.

Newton Nelson Hazen died suddenly at his Sparrowbush home at about 7 30 am at age 63 from an araemic condition and heart paralysis due to rheumatism. He lived most of his life in Sparrowbush, worked in weapon making, served as collector assessor and highway commissioner, and was a charter member of Anoonshee Tribe 122 L O M and a Sparrowbush church member. He married Sabrina J Kent on November 1 1888 and is survived by his wife, his mother Mary G Hazen, three sisters two daughters three sons and several in laws and step children. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 30 pm with interment in Sparrowbush Cemetery.
