A balloon with three men reportedly passed over Westtown Thursday afternoon about 1:30 p.m. Henry Lines saw it over his house while field guns were used to view the scene. The balloon appeared at least half a mile high and the men waved as they tried to talk. Ioan D. Stivers, Republican candidate for Assembly, visited the village that same day and prospects for his election looked bright. A young man rented a barber shop in the village for business.
