Mystery case of McKeeve liquor salesman arrest
Horace McKeeve a Middletown liquor salesman was arrested for grand larceny after allegedly taking 256 worth of liquor and not delivering it to G F Magory at the Green Leaf Hotel in Ottaville. The case was settled by complainant and defendant without court action. McKeeve was taken to Otisville for arraignment but returned to Middletown after the settlement. Officer John B. Herbert made the arrest and Otisville was the arraignment site.

Funeral Held for Edwin Hiram Christie After Car Accident
The funeral for Edwin Hiram Christie, killed when a car struck him Saturday, was held Tuesday at 9 am at the Christie home 381 North Street. Rev J H Lincoln of Washingtonville and Rev Mr Seeley of Chatham NJ conducted the service. Eliott Averett, the driver, is a member of the Chatham Congregational Church. his associate Rev Seeley attended the service. Edwin’s father Hiram A Christie learned of the death this morning after months of physical illness. Burial followed at Livingston Manor in the Sunday plot with Rev James A Hara officiating at the grave.
