How to Guard Cherry Trees Versus Robins
Pennsylvania zoologist H A Surface notes methods to deter robins from cherries. Tactics include hanging bright tin pieces, wire cages with cats, and mounted hawks or owls, though results vary. Better results come from planting more trees and offering early cherry varieties and mulberries to reduce pressure. Robins aid in pest control by eating harmful insects and may tolerate some cherry losses during nesting.
