Newburgh Man Arraigned In Child Support Case

Jobe Tubbs formerly of Walden was arraigned before Judge Beeger on abandoning his two month old son Charles William Tubbs. He pled guilty to lack of support but was freed on a plan to provide for the baby, with weekly payments set at 3.50 dollars, and potential dismissal of the indictment if he keeps to the agreement. The case revealed tensions with Tubbs' wife Mrs. Tubbs, who testified against him, and noted disputes over income and conduct. The court ordered Tubbs to retain counsel and allowed limited contact with the child under supervision.
