Farmers oppose the New York State Federation of Agriculture

A May 26 1918 conference adopted a statement opposing the New York State Federation of Agriculture. A resignation of temporary officers was submitted, with a call for unity among existing farmers organizations and caution against local affiliations. Fire destroys minister’s barn in Florida village

In Florida on June 4 at 10 30 a fire was discovered in the barn of Rev A E Chamberlain in the village and the structure was noon destroyed with its contents. Firemen fought to stop spread toward G W Sperry’s nearby barn. Origin unclear but thought to stem from kerosene used to burn chicken coops. Loss amount not given.
