Accidental Death of Playmate Casts Shroud Over Christmas Outing
A 14 year old, Ed Ward Webb, was shot accidentally by fellow Boy Scout Kniskern during a church day outing at Depew Park. The weapon fired as they prepared Christmas dinner by the fire, the bullet entering Webb’s head and causing instant death. The coroner accepted the accident and released the minister involved.
