Farm Forum at Stone School Ends Season with Dance
The Stone School Farm Forum held its final monthly meeting Monday October 25 with piano by Shirley Burt and singing by B Anne McLaughlin and Earl Burt. Prizes for drawing by Mrs E Miller. Hallowe en stunts and wind-up dance led by W A Wilson and Jean Ruddell. Hostesses were Mrs H Marchington Mrs Clarence Varey and Mrs K C Lindsay as pie and more pie delighted attendees. Broadcasts resume next Monday night as winter activities begin.

Weekend highway collision damages three cars near Scott Motor Sales
A midnight Saturday crash in front of Scott Motor Sales damaged two of three cars. William Martin of Brampton and Donald Long of Toronto were involved when Aubrey Gray of Simpson’s Taxi rear ended Long’s car, with about 150 and 300 dollars in damage respectively. A passenger sustained facial pats. Monday afternoon Mrs. A Kershaw struck a parked Albert Hudson car, pushing another onto the sidewalk, with about 100 dollars in damage.

Former Georgetown Baker Buried Here
Frederick C. Johnson died last week at his Clinton home and was buried in Greenwood Cemetery last Thursday. Rev. Alex Calder conducted the committal at the graveside. Johnson had worked as a baker in Milton and later lived in Georgetown before moving to Clinton. He is survived by wife Emma Godfrey, daughter of the late Edward Godfrey, from an old Georgetown family.

Nick Ferri Wins Anthony Memorial Medal for Lacrosse
Nick Ferri of the Brampton Excelsiors lacrosse team and Georgetown's Intermediate Hockey squad has been awarded the Pete Anthony Memorial Medal as the most valuable player on the 1945 lacrosse team. The honor is given by Bill Anthony and his mother in memory of a Brampton goaltender killed in a recent motor accident. Ferri led his team in goals and was a unanimous choice by players and fans.
