Mrs Harry Fryer Dies Suddenly At Home
Mrs Anery Bryer died suddenly at her King Street home on Thursday October 28. Born near Georgetown she was the daughter of the late Mr and Mrs William Hawes aged fifty one. She married Harry Fryer in Delaware earlier and lived in Georgetown. Survived by husband three children Frederick Jessie and another daughter Mrs Jack Noble, one brother John Hawes and a sister Mrs William Stayner. Funeral conducted by Archdeacon W G Thompson from her Mansy home with pallbearers Stan Twoon Wallican Wall Richard Hawes Harold Cleave and Wilfred Mino. Interment Greenwood Cemetery Georgetown.

Lions Masquerade a Big Success in Rose Room
The Lions Hallowe en Masquerade drew nearly all attendees in costume and raised over 50 as Debonfires provided music. Mayor Joseph Gibbons dressed as a brig and Mrs Teresa Harrison as a country rube won costume prizes, with spot dance winners Mrs William McNally and Ken Mendham.

Georgetown Council Advances Water Improvements Plan
