Harvey Dewhurst leads Orion Lodge, No. 100 LO O F at an October installation ceremony. District Deputy Grand Eddie District and staff visit to conduct the event.

A donation of 20.60 was presented to the Safety League Council. The Esquesing Group of the Women Teachers Federation met at Miss May Langan’s home with fifteen teachers present and plans for a Christmas gift to a British school.
J B Mackenzie and Son began construction of a three room school in Glen Williams to replace last summer's collapsed structure. The $55 847 contract was awarded by Esquesing School Area No 1. The modern brick veneer one story design includes a central multipurpose classroom with a 200 seat auditorium and future expansion. Total cost near 60 000 covered by a township debenture.
Thomas Albert Williamson dies at home lot 28 concession 9 Esquesing Township on Wednesday October 19th. Funeral held at McKillop Funeral Home Brampton with Rev. William Weir. Interment Brampton Cemetery. Survived by wife Hope Ivy Masterman, two brothers, three sisters, and other relatives. Williamson was born in Brampton and lived on the home farm before moving to British Columbia, returning two years ago to Esquesing. He was a member of Brampton Presbyterian Church.

William G. Milliere, C N R station agent since mid June, is promoted to agent at Waterloo and will start duties this week. S J Chassell will replace him in Limehouse. Milliere, a Channel Islands native, began in 1915 and has held posts in Limehouse Weston Brampton and Georgetown. He is married to May Ross and has two children.
A Saturday blaze caused extensive damage to a house with the crib scene near the kitchen. Firefighters arriving soon gained control of the flames and rescued month-old Linda Morrow from the crib. The kitchen suffered damage as crews worked to contain the fire.
