Officials opened Georgetown’s new bridge replacing an older structure over the CNR tracks and a new Town Works Building on Maole Avenue East with ribbon cuttings. Reeve Wr. F. Hunter and Wim. BR Smith presided, unveiling a plaque and handing keys to Dr. Bob Francis as the engineering and building departments unite under one roof in a $110,000 facility.

J. F. Jack Hamilton of 12 Albert Street has been appointed factory manager of the Georgetown division by W. Nagersen vice president and general manager of Standard Products Canada Ltd. Plane Forced Down in Moore Park Causes Damage
A light Cessna 1854 piloted by J Lionel Hierary of Str Rom auld Quebec was forced down by weather early Friday night in Moore Park, Brampton. Six people aboard sustained injuries after the aircraft landed on an unused road and slid into a deep ditch. the crash occurred as the pilot attempted to land at Brampton Flying Club but was prevented by conditions.
